Some news from the catering arm of Rocket & Squash (which happens to be the same arm as everything else):
I’m cooking with Nick Balfe at Salon in Brixton Market Row on 18 and 19 August and you should come.
I’d been planning to run a few pop-up evenings and work the odd restaurant shift this year, but hadn’t got round to doing anything until Nick suggested we collaborate. Which was a grand gesture from him – if you don’t know it, Salon is a restaurant in Brixton Market Row serving seasonal, inventive, British food to very lucky punters. I love the food there and reckon that, pound for pound, it’s one of the best places to eat in London. So I’m delighted to be teaming up with him.
The evenings will run a set 5 course menu supper on two staggered sittings – 7:00pm and 8:00pm – to help us feed everyone in good time. The finer details of the food aren’t finalised yet, but rest assured it’ll be awesome. There’ll be something of me, something of Nick, something properly collaborative and maybe something nicked from the prior weekend’s #Supplemental and glammed up (or down) a bit.
Tickets are £35 pp and space is limited. We originally set this up as a one night event, but that night (Tuesday) is already two thirds full, so we’ve added a second date.
Book here. It’d be great to see and feed you.
