Don’t chuff around this Shrove Tuesday. None of that “here’s something different you could do with your pancakes” nonsense. Lemon and sugar, nothing else.
On feast days, I often look to Saint Delia. Here’s her basic pancake method.
That is all.

Ah, and there I was making my “something different” ham & cheese pancakes! 😛
I was just thinking that I don’t particularly like pancakes but the one on your picture look absolutely delectable…!
Sucre-citron are my favourite kind of pancakes…. Si Bon!!!
I completely agree – lemon and sugar is the way to go! I was in the US this Shrove Tuesday though, so I missed out. (Although, I did come across some Danish Ebelskiver in a cooking demonstration…) Will have to give Delia’s recipe a try one weekend.
Truffle
Su-yin, I’m sure yours were very tasty!
Ute, Natalyia & Truffle – thanks for the comments; hope you enjoy some sucre-citron pancakes soon
I reccomend passion fruit for something different
Absolutely. I do love a leek, bacon and blue cheese savoury pancake but when it comes to sweet, I don’t mess about. Delia all the way, lemon and sugar. Repeat.
