Everything the husband and wife team behind Honey & Co. touch turn to gold. Their restuarant(s) receive glowing reviews, their newspaper column is revered and their books win all the prizes. I don’t think it’s luck or coincidence.
Their baking book is particularly good. I love that it’s organised by time of day: dead of night; first light; elevenses; high noon; tea time; and traditional desserts. More importantly, I love that the gorgeous recipes really work. Mostly sweet with a few savoury baked bits thrown in for good measure, this is a keeper.
Who should have it?
Suitable for all standards of home cook. Bakers and people with a sweet tooth.
Recipes to look out for
Fig, orange and walnut loaf; yoghurt cheesecake with quince topping; shakshuka.
